- 1999-2004: Masters degree from the University of Szeged, Institute of Informatics in Software Engineering
- 2005-2007: Ph.D. degree from the University of Szeged, Hungary and from the University of Nice, Department of Image Processing and Computer Graphics and at INRIA Sophia Antipolis, France, in the ARIANA research group with Zoltan Kato, Ian Jermyn, and Josiane Zerubia.
- 2007-now: Image processing at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in the Light Microscopy Centre
